Welcome to niba lab. By visiting this website, booking a class, or purchasing a product, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

Terms & Conditions

1. General

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of this website and any transactions made through it, including the purchase of handmade ceramic goods and enrollment in in-person pottery classes. niba lab reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. 

2. Shop & Product Sales

All ceramic pieces sold through niba lab are handmade by Kiki Liu and are one-of-a-kind. Variations in size, shape, and glaze are inherent to the process and are not considered defects. Listed capacities represent minimum volume. All pieces are inspected for functional use standards prior to shipping.

All sales are final. Returns or exchanges are not accepted unless an item arrives damaged. Damage claims must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery with photo documentation. niba lab reserves the right to offer a replacement, store credit, or refund at its discretion.

niba lab is not responsible for damage resulting from improper use, thermal shock, or breakage after delivery.

 

Shipping
Orders are processed within a reasonable timeframe but delivery dates are not guaranteed. Once an order is transferred to the shipping carrier, niba lab is not responsible for delays, loss, or delivery issues. Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.

3. Classes & Bookings

All class bookings and payments are processed through this website. Booking a class reserves a spot in a scheduled session at our private studio in the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles.

Classes are open to all experience levels. Participants under 18 must have consent and supervision from a parent or legal guardian. niba lab reserves the right to refuse service or remove any participant whose behavior is unsafe or disruptive.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made more than 72 hours before class: full refund or reschedule

  • Within 72 hours: non-refundable, but may be rescheduled once (subject to availability)

  • No-shows: non-refundable

  • If niba lab cancels a class: full refund or reschedule option

Finished Work
Completed pieces must be picked up within 30 days of notification. Unclaimed work may be discarded or recycled.

4. Liability Waiver

Participation in studio activities involves inherent risk, including use of tools, materials, and kiln-fired processes. By booking a class, you voluntarily assume all associated risks.

niba lab and Kiki Liu are not liable for injury, loss, or damage incurred during participation. Participants are responsible for following all safety instructions and studio guidelines.

Ceramic work may experience cracking, warping, or breakage during drying or firing. These outcomes are considered part of the material process and are not guaranteed against.

5. Intellectual Property

All website content, including text, images, and product designs, is the property of Kiki Liu and niba lab. No content may be copied, reproduced, or distributed without written permission.

6. Privacy

Personal information collected (name, email, payment details) is used solely for order processing and class bookings. Information is not sold or shared with third parties. Payment processing is handled securely through third-party providers, and payment data is not stored by niba lab.

 

7. Nonprofit Disclosure

A portion of proceeds from sales and class bookings may support Current State Studio, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by Kiki Liu. Purchases made through niba lab are not tax-deductible unless explicitly stated.
